The Client Journey
Here I describe the experience of engaging me to assist with your loved one's memorial or life celebration.
1. Deep Listening
Often around the family kitchen table, I create a safe space where families can pause, breathe, remember and begin sharing stories and ideas.
I listen to different perspectives and understands the different relationships.
2. Finding the thread
As stories unfold, I discover as much as possible about this person’s life and death.
Not simply what they did, who they were, how they loved and what people will carry forward because of them.
3. Translating a Life
This is my gift. Transforming memories into meaning. Stories into ceremony. Emotion into words.
Giving voice to what families often struggle to express.
4. Co-Creating the Farewell
Together, every element is thoughtfully chosen:
- Location
- Music
- Readings
- Rituals
- Nature
- Fire or smoking
- Participation
- Alter space
Every decision asks one question: Would this feel true to the person we are honouring?
Where would this person like to be for their final earth-bound shin dig? The sky is the limit. I embrace all locations and can help you choose the right one.
5. Honouring Your Person Authentically
Celebrating your person in a way that feels deeply meaningful and true with a shared aligned experience of remembrance, love, gratitude and connection.
6. The Beginning of Healing
A ceremony doesn't remove grief. But it can become the moment where healing gently begins. You will leave knowing you honoured your person in the most authentic way possible.
The transformation when working with me
Before Families meet me, they are often feeling...
- Overwhelmed and emotionally exhausted
Unsure where to begin, or of the finer details of the ceremony - Afraid of getting it wrong, or being underwhelmed by the farewell ceremony
- Unsure how to authentically honour the person they love
- Like they need to follow tradition because they don't know another way.
After meeting with me, families leave feeling...
- Held and understood
- Connected and supported
- Grounded
- Confident that I can help them create a meaningful ceremony
- At peace knowing the farewell will truly reflect the life that was lived

We can never fill the gap that is left when we lose someone we love, but we can farewell them and celebrate their life in a way that is personal and really beautiful. We only get one chance at a group goodbye, and my role is to facilitate a shared experience that is as meaningful and healing as possible.
